So recently I've been looking at other peoples blogs, and I figured that since I'll be headed off to college soon, a blog would be a cool way to keep in touch. And even if no one decides to actually read it, I'll have a nice little journal for myself :) haha. So I was trying to figure out to actually get things rolling, and after creeping on several people, I noticed that a common way of starting was to list 100 things about yourself. This seemed like quite an ambitious number, but I figured I might as well go big or go home, right?
100 things about me.
1. every time something is about to begin (a dance show, play, etc.), I always picture the joker in Dark Knight saying "and here...we...GO!!"
2. sentences with only one exclamation point feel empty to me.
3. I was born in washington, but georgia is my home, and I consider myself a southern girl.
4. I play piano, but I had to stop taking lessons in 9th grade. so most of the music i play now is chill stuff that i can sing with.
5. i just started learning guitar!! i'm currently learning my third song, and i'm quite proud of my up and coming callouses. my wonderful little brother is teaching me :)
6. i have an immense passion for The Office. i have every season on DVD. i can out-quote you. i also have seasons 1 and 2 of Flight of the Conchords.
7. I have an obsession for dance shows, except for dancing with the stars because that ones lame. but i watch So You Think You Can Dance and America's Best Dance Crew religiously. i keep them on TiVo and watch them whenever i'm bored.
8. i dance in downtown atlanta. its a long drive, but its legit. speaking of america's best dance crew, i've danced with swagger crew and jungle boogie from last season. one of the guys from jungle boogie told me i was good. my life became complete at that moment.
9. i like when you play with my hair or scratch my back. then again, who doesn't?
10. i watch american idol. don't hate.
11. sometimes i talk so fast i trip over my words. i really hate when that happens.
12. if i trust you, i trust you with my life. i take pinky promises very seriously. for real.
13. i really love drama, but i don't know if i'll continue it in college :/
14. i was always proud to have the nickname mormonator in high school. represent.
15. i have a unique vocabulary. ie-i say wicked, stoked, and i call girls chicks.
16. i'm also known to call someone a jerkface, and thats about as mean as i get.
17. i currently work for balloon distractions and make balloon animals at different restaurants. its awesome.
18. i loved being a part of the IB program. i never regretted it for a second.
19. i plan on majoring in psychology and minoring in french.
20. for years i have wanted to work at a teen crisis center. i think it will be a perfect fit for me.
21. i fell in love with france when i was an exchange student there. i'm dying to go back.
22. i can speak french conversationally, but i want to become completely fluent.
23. i miss french cheese and bread like you would not believe.
24. i also crave this european drink called orangina all the time.
25. i love my french themed room and waterbed.
26. i have an adrenaline addiction.
27. i'm a certified scuba diver.
28. i've had an octopus on my head.
29. i was once attacked by a wiener dog. his tooth went through my lip.
30. i once ate cow heart as part of a fear factor game.
31. i'm definitely the most laid back person in my family.
32. i get annoyed when people ask obvious questions. like if you walk outside and everything is soaking wet, and someone asks if it rained.
33. i'm a lord of the rings nerd.
34. i plan on finding/buying every season of boy meets world on DVD.
35. i was once on slime time live on nickelodeon.
36. i keep up with a lot of dancers/choreographers on youtube.
37. i like funny guys who work hard with dark hair and pretty smiles.
38. make me laugh or sing to me and i will love you.
39. i very rarely wear my hair up.
40. i like working out. i do wear my hair up for that.
41. i love camping.
42. i love new york city. theres an inexplicable electricity there.
43. broadway is a dream of mine. best shows ever: next to normal and in the heights. see them.
44. i have the most diverse taste in music. i listen to almost everything.
45. most of the time i really love awkward moments because they are hilarious and make for the best stories.
46. i really love clothes and cute shoes.
47. despite my love of cute shoes, i would choose being barefoot any day.
48. boy do i love fruit.
49. i love going to wholefoods, h-mart, trader joe's, all those awesome places.
50. guatemala is one of the most beautiful places i've ever been to.
51. cruises are SO much fun.
52. i'm embarrassed by my bad handwriting. i blame it on being left-handed.
53. i'm also embarrassed at my horrible sense of direction and ability to easily get lost.
54. that being said, i do not get embarrassed easily.
55. one of my kids will be named hayden.
56. i'm not a natural brunette, but i think i was supposed to be.
57. i've never broken a bone.
58. i'm slightly scared of thunder.
59. i love birds.
60.i love all animals really.
61. i hate cockroaches and earwigs.
62. i was once stung by a scorpion. it hurt.
63. i was once bitten by a centipede and stung by a wasp in the same day. the centipede was by far the most painful encounter i've had with getting stung/bitten.
64. i once nursed a wild bird back to health while camping. then it thought i was its mom and followed me everywhere. true story.
65. i have a list of books to read now that i have my literary freedom back. 2 down 98 to go.
66. fettuccine alfredo is my favorite food.
67. i love italian, mexican, chinese, and japanese food.
68. i love movies. but i have no idea what my favorite ones are. there are just too many good ones.
69. the things people say always make related songs pop in my head.
70. i'm jealous of people who are good at photography.
71. i also would like to be better at sports.
72. i really love to watch sports though.
73. i'm beyond excited for BYU :):)
74. i'm not really nervous about not knowing anyone because i love meeting new people and making friends.
75. i am, however, pretty nervous about the cold weather. i'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather.
76. i have never gone snowboarding or skiing, but i plan to change that at college.
77. i'm DYING to go skydiving.
78. i love chocolate milk more than the average person.
79. people always pronounce/spell my name wrong. but i really like my name, because its unique and because of what it means (darling, beloved, etc.).
80. i love the harry potter series, angels and demons, the da vinci code, and the life of pi. i'm sure this list will grow as i get further on my book list.
81. i love sleeping, but i don't like to sleep in to late because i feel like i'm wasting the day.
82. i'm a night owl.
83. i LOVE lost. epic show. simply epic.
84. one time when my sister and i were surfing in hawaii, my dad was asked if we wanted to be extras on lost. he said no because we were surfing. it breaks my heart all over again just thinking about it.
85. i'm ridiculously ticklish.
86. i hate when girls over pluck their eyebrows, or if they're too thick.
87. i like being sore after i work out. it makes me feel accomplished.
88. i wear the same pearl earrings almost every day.
89. i go through phases where i listen to a couple songs over and over again.
90. i wear very little make-up. only on my eyes. i don't own any face make-up.
91. i wish i owned more dresses.
92. i love hot chocolate anytime of the year, even in summer.
93. i like crazy socks. i barely own any plain white socks. my socks are also often mismatched.
94. i'm a hardcore wimp when it comes to spicy foods. really hot foods are torture for me.
95. i love wearing colorful clothes. i'm a very happy person, and i feel like wearing color portrays that.
96. i can sleep through a lot, but i'm also easy to wake up. just say my name and i'm up. but only if its directed at me. its really strange, actually.
97. i once swam with a dolphin.
98. i love tomato soup and broccoli cheese soup a lot. as well as chicken toquitos.
99. my family are the coolest people in the worlds.
100. i'm going to miss all my friends from georgia as well as chick fil a and waffle house while i'm at college.
i feel very accompished :)
